3   PISA by OECD

According to the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2000, Japanese children, when compared internationally, have a high ability to apply knowledge and skills to real-life situations ( Table 1-3-1 ).
